Blessings to All!

How many of us women can relate with the fact that we all need and want complete rest? With all the beauty that my bedroom beholds, I can’t tell you the many times I’ve retreated there for rest, only to leave not fully satisfied with my rest. Now tell me how disappointing that is! But thanks be to God there is a place where we can go and find satisfaction guaranteed and that is only at the feet of our Heavenly Father Himself.

One particular scripture stands out in my mind when I think of complete rest, Psalm 62:5 (NIV) David say’s “Find rest, Oh my soul in God alone, my hope comes from Him." It’s so good to know that we can find complete rest for a weary soul. Not in a girlfriend, or a husband, or a home, those things render temporary relief from exhaustion, while our Father always provides just what we need and Him alone.

My hopes, my dreams, my fears, my tears, my trust, my needs, my wants, my hurts, my disappointments can all be laid at the feet of Christ in exchange for sweet peace and rest like you’ve never experienced before.

So today, get to know your Heavenly Father and let him get to know you through prayers and meditation on his word. I’m sure you’ll find rest in Him and Him alone – He won’t let you down!!!
